No-fail White Bread
From: Glen and Linda Rhodes
Makes one 1.5 pound loaf.

Ingredients:
1 cup water (tepid to warm, NOT HOT)
3 cups flour (I use flour labeled especially for bread machines)
2 tablespoons oil (canola is good)
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Procedure:
EXCEPT FOR WATER, BE SURE ALL INGREDIENTS ARE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE

Follow your machine directions for adding ingredients.

I have a Regal Kitchen Pro and this is how I proceed: add water first, flour next, building a little mound in center then pressing down with thumb so there is a depression with walls built around it like a "crater." Put sugar in one corner, salt in another and oil in still another. Put yeast in the "crater" and gently cover over it. Set your machine for large loaf (1 1/2 pounds) with light crust.

When done, cool on wire rack. This bread is moist and great for anyone on a sugar-restrictive diet.
