Karen's Hot Tamales

Serves 2-4 (see procedure for scaling up recipe)
1 pound hamburger
1 small onion
1 can tomato soup
2 teaspoons chili powder
3 stalks celery
salt and pepper -- to taste
Finely chop onion and celery. If hamburger is fatty, brown in own fat - otherwise use a little butter. Drain hamburger and add onion and celery and tomato soup. Salt and pepper to taste and mix in about 1 to 2 teaspoons of chili powder (more if you like it hot). Let cook on low heat about an hour for good flavor.
Serving Ideas : serve with chips , dill pickles and a dessert.
For larger batches use 3 pounds hamburger, 2 cans soup, 5 stalks celry, and a medium onion; or
5 pounds hamburger, 3 cans soup, 6 large stalks celery, a large onion and a chili pod.
