Saturday was the last day of of the workshop. We had the option of another few hours of working on a dome, spraying another layer of shotcrete, or listening to Anne Sutherland, who described the 20' dome rental project that MDI was operating. I choose to listen to Anne. Afterwards, I drove into the town of Italy and took some final shots of the 20 foot domes we had been working on, and the 4-dome rental property they established earlier, as proof-of-concept, called Secret Garden. MDI bought a lot with an old burnt-out home that was around the corner from the downtown area and able to be zoned commercial. I finished with a few distance shots of the MDI grounds from a side road. |
